Throughout the third quarter of 2021, the Books and Reference category on Android in Russia saw notable trends across its top-performing apps. Here’s a closer look at how the leading apps fared in terms of weekly downloads, revenue, and active users according to data from Sensor Tower.

Storytel: Audiobooks & Ebooks from Storytel Sweden AB showed a consistent performance. Weekly revenue fluctuated slightly, peaking at approximately $27K in mid-September. Weekly downloads saw a high of around 60K at the beginning of the quarter but gradually decreased to about 47K by the end of September. Active users increased initially, reaching around 160K in mid-September before slightly dropping to 152K at the quarter's close.

Litres: Books by LitRes experienced a steady increase in both revenue and downloads. Revenue grew from around $28K at the beginning of July to approximately $36K by the end of September. Downloads also saw an upward trend, starting at about 38K and climbing to nearly 57K. Active users remained robust, hovering around 480K to 490K throughout the quarter.

Avidly: Stories, Manga, Comics from BUZZWORTHY VIBE COMPANY, LTD. faced a decline in performance. Weekly revenue decreased from around $923 at the end of June to about $562 by late September.
